Passionate about the outdoors? We're looking for a part-time sales associate in our West Asheville location, 10-15 hours/week. The position has potential for growth and additional responsibilities.

We are a locally owned and operated specialty outdoors retailer, focusing on clothing and accessories made by environmentally- and socially-conscious companies. We feature quality products and aim to develop long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will be kind, courteous, and have a desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers entering the store and answer incoming calls.
  • Help customers with product selection
  • Keep the store environment clean and tidy
  • Assist with other tasks such as product inventory, shipping, and merchandising

Required Skills/ Experience:

  • Sales/ Customer Service - At least one year of retail or other customer service experience required. Experience in outdoors specialty environment is a plus, but not required.
  • Communication Skills- You’re able to clearly listen and communicate ideas and product benefits to customers. You enjoy meeting and interacting with new people.
  • Technical Skills- Proficiency in point-of-sale operation. Skills in social media and website are a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to complete tasks independently 
  • Promptness and dependability
  • Must be willing to work weekends
